MEET COY

COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE WITH A HEART TO SERVE

Coy Jenkins is a proud lifelong Republican and a 45+ year law enforcement professional running to serve as State Senator for District 2, representing Rogers and Mayes counties. Coy and his wife Marti live in Claremore, where they are raising their son, Chet. Coy's 45+ years in law enforcement started as a Tulsa Police Officer and later included work in S.W.A.T., undercover narcotics units, serving as the Police Chief for Oklahoma City University, and teaching advanced law enforcement tactics in various academies. Currently, Coy serves as a Major in the Rogers County Sheriff's Office. He manages a staff of 60 employees and oversees the Rogers County Sheriff's Office volunteer outreach programs. He is also on the board of directors for the Rogers County Youth Services.

Those who know Coy know he has a true heart for service. Coy is an Eagle Scout and volunteers as an assistant scoutmaster for his church's Boy Scouts troop. Coy also serves as a camp counselor and mentor for New Day Camp, a program for teenagers with one or both parents incarcerated in state prisons. Growing up, Coy's father was incarcerated for most of his life. Coy's grandparents stepped in providing stability but the experience has been a major inspirational force behind his heart for serving those in need. Coy and his wife, Marti, are very active in their church, Claremore First United Methodist, and believe faith inspires our principles and call to serve others. Coy is running to be an ally to the citizens of District 2, to hear their stories, and work to improve their lives. Coy is a compassionate and consistent Conservative who will lead on principle to defend our Oklahoma values at the Capitol.
